Spinach is rich in beta-carotene, which is converted to vitamin A by our bodies and needed for our immune system. Spinach is also rich in lutein and zeaxanthin – antioxidants which help to protect against age-related eye disorders.

Oranges like all citrus fruit are awesome nutritionally – they’re rich in minerals, vitamin C and B, plus they’re a good source of folate and potassium, which can help preserve bone calcium. They also have a number of phytochemicals and the soluble type of fiber, which can help to lower cholesterol. Citrus fruits as a group are big stars in the fruit world.

  1. The water goes into the blender first with the spinach. Blend well.
